Working with ceramics, drawing, music, and movement, Val’s practice centers on the transformative power of nature and aesthetic experiences as a catalyst for systemic well-being. Her purpose is to inform, inspire and lift the human spirit for higher action.
Much of her work in environmental education has appeared in broadcast at PBS and online at PBS Learning Media Library, Platte Basin Timelapse, Arbor Day Foundation, and Nature Explore. She is co-author of Learning With Nature Idea Book published by Dimensions Educational Research Foundation. She is an alumni coach for IDEO U and an Inaugural fellow of the Center for Social Impact Strategy at the University of Pennsylvania.
